January 21, 2025 (Columbia, MO)  – Welcome Home, Inc., a nonprofit that works to honor Veterans and restore lives throughout mid-Missouri, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new board member and new officers who will play a critical role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction and advancing its mission over the coming years.
The newly elected member and officers bring a diversified wealth of experience in philanthropy, leadership, finance, business and housing development. Their contributions on the Board of Directors will strengthen Welcome Home’s ability to expand and enhance programs, increase funding, and broaden community impact. Each of them brings a deep commitment to serve the critical mission and vision to end Veteran homelessness.
 
Welcome Home, Inc.’s Executive Director, Megan Sievers, said, “We are honored and thrilled to announce this year’s Officers and welcome new member, Ryan Stevens, to our Board of Directors. Each of these uniquely talented, passionate volunteers have exceptional backgrounds, with diverse experiences, that make them such incredible assets to Welcome Home’s mission and strategic vision.”

New Officers Appointed for 2025:
  • Board President – Marcus Glover:  US Air Force Veteran | Director of Human Resources, University of Missouri School of Medicine | Board Member Since January 2021
  • Vice President – Bruno Greco: CEO, Atkins, Inc. | Board Member Since January 2023
  • Treasurer – Matthew Lightle: Director of Finance, Columbia Orthopaedic Group | Board Member Since July 2023
  • Secretary – Joanie Mains: Financial Center Manager III, Simmons Bank | Board Member Since February 2022
Newly appointed Board President, Marcus Glover, is a retired United States Air Force Veteran with more than 24 years of military service. As the Director of Human Resources for the University of Missouri’s School of Medicine, Marcus has more than twenty years of human resources experience and brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and energy to our Board.
 
“As a disabled Veteran I realize the challenges my fellow comrades face and the importance of having available resources during our most vulnerable times in life,” said Glover. “Welcome Home has been mid-Missouri’s go to partner agency to end Veteran homelessness and restore lives for over 30 years. I’m fortunate and blessed to have been offered the opportunity to serve as the 2025 Board President and support a mission that touches so close to home.”
 
Board Members serve three-year terms at Welcome Home, Inc. and Officers are elected annually. The Board of Directors acts as the governing body and the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance, and financial management policies, as well as by making sure Welcome Home, Inc. has adequate resources to advance the mission.
